Amanda will bring us uo to date on happenings at The Friends of Texas Wildlife.  They recieve injured wildlife and rehabillitate them at their facility jus west of the Woodlands.  Our Rotary club built a Rapror House where recovering hawks, etc could practice flying.

We have become recognized as an innovative organization, which has designed and conducted a significant number of large conservation projects, including migration studies, habitat enhancement, land acquisition, regional habitat mapping, and others.

Kiss the Ground is a 2020 documentary film that describes how current agricultural practices have harmed the productivity of soils worldwide and practices that can be employed to restore and preserve the soil. Although focused on agriculture, the concepts presented can be extended to how we manage our residential property. The first 30 minute segment will focus on soil ecology, how we have impacted it and the impact. There is a free version for schools with lesson plans
