On 5/19/2020, President Elect Hope Moye spoke to the Magnolia Rotary Club membership about her recent PETS conference. Pictured above is Hope Moye.

Before Hope spoke about PETS (President Elect Training Seminar), the club discussed how to provide Paul Harris awards in this season of COVID-19. The club had a number of ideas and also made a decision on who will get the awards this year. In addition, they decided that the awards will be given out sometime in the last ten days of June, 2020.

Hope then spoke to everyone about her experience at the 2020 PETS Conference. Hope gave everyone a look at the new Rotary Logo for 2020 (see below):

Hope told every one that the Rangers were there and they played guitars and sang most of the day. They had a sign by them that read "Picking For Polio" in order to raise funds for Polio Eradication. See photo below:

Hope also showed us her 2020 PETS attendees showing off their #TALK2ME bracelets that Hope gave out (see below):

Hope also showed a shot of the "Shelter Box" project that had been done by another club (see below):

Hope then showed a video of Richard D. King who was the speaker Saturday night at PETS. If you would like to see the video you can find it at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcCBy-25BcE.  Hope also showed a photo of her with Mr. King who she said truly motivated her to try and be a good president for the upcoming year (see below):

Mr King gave a very funny but inspirational talk about Rotary around the world and leadership. He especially spoke to how important the role of Rotary Club President was and that new leaders should strive to remember that good leadership is about leadership, vision, and commitment.
