During the 2019-2020 Rotary year, the students of the Magnolia High School Interact Club raised $2761.12 for the world wide fight against Polio. Pictured above is Claire Martinucci standing in front of their new Interact Club Banner.

The MHS Interact Club did a number of service projects last semester including raising $2761.12 (Bill Gates matched their funds 2 for 1 up to $900 thereby adding $1800 to their $961.12) for End Polio Now, contributing over 500 canned items to the Montgomery County Food Bank, collecting almost a truckload of clothing and toys for Moms Helping Moms, did a “Welcome to school day” at MHS where they provided smiles, hugs and candy to high school students to brighten their day, and volunteered at a number of events throughout Magnolia. This semester, they volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to lay sod for one of their homes, and cleaned the inside of the home for the new family. They donated luggage to a foster care agency, and raised money for an international organization to provide clean water.  They have around 120 members from all grade levels, and they meet twice a month during our Bulldog Block in the library.

The efforts of this awesome Interact Club can not only be contributed to the great members of the club but also to their awesome sponsor, Katherine Cantu.
