- When and where does the Magnolia Rotary Club meet? - The Magnolia Rotary Club meets at noon every Tuesday at the MISD Event Center located at 11659 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas 77354. The meeting can be also be attended online via Zoom unless there are equipment or internet problems. The link to the Zoom meeting can be found under the "Upcoming Events" section at the top left hand side of the main page (www.magnoliarotaryclub.org). Just click on the event that you wish to see online for the Zoom link for the event.
- Do you have to live in Magnolia? - No, residency in MAgnolia is not a requirement to be a member of the Magnolia Rotary Club.
- Do you have to own a business? - No, owning a business is not a requirement to be a member of the Magnolia Rotary Club.
- What are the different types of membership? - The membership types are:
- The regular membership dues shall be $235 per quarter for 2021-2022 providing for attendance at all luncheon and breakfast meetings, social functions, fund-raising activities and community service functions.
- The sunrise membership dues shall be $130 per quarter for 2021-2022 providing for attendance at all breakfast meetings, social functions, fund-raising activities and community service functions.
- The passport membership dues shall be $150 per quarter for 2021-2022 providing for attendance at all social functions, fund-raising activities and community service functions. Passport members are required to complete 25 hours of community service annually;
- The non-profit membership dues shall be $90 per quarter for 2021-2022 providing for attendance at all social functions, fund-raising activities and community service functions. Non-profit members are required to complete 50 hours of community service annually.

Sunrise members, passport members and non-profit members may attend luncheon meetings at a cost of $10 per meeting; passport members and non-profit members may attend breakfast meetings at a cost of $10 per meeting.

Do you have to attend every meeting? - Some Rotary Clubs require attendance at every meeting and if a meeting is missed, it must be made up by attending another Club's meeting. The Magnolia Rotary Club does not require attendance at every meeting but would like to see members attend as often as possible.

What is the overall time commitment? - This varies based on projects and the number of meetings attended. However, there are 4 meetings a month (except for holidays), a fundraiser, and multiple projects. Again, the Magnolia Rotary Club does not enforce how much time is spent at meetings and projects. However, but would like to see members get involved as much as possible.

Is membership for the year or quarterly? - Membership lasts as long as the member pays their dues. Again, the dues for the Magnolia Rotary Club and paid on a quarterly basis.

What is the overall expectation of someone who becomes a member? - The Magnolia Rotary Club tries to get all members to use their talents and time to make the club one of the best in the district. A new member should expect at some point to participate in club projects and meetings as much as possible.
